Enjoy a Vintage Bus Ride in Norwich this Christmas

Here’s a great opportunity this December to enjoy a FREE ride around Norwich on our beautifully restored vintage Routemaster bus as you enjoy the sights and sounds of the festive season in our mediaeval city – what a lovely way to enjoy the Christmas shopping or just sit back, relax and take in the sights and sounds.

Our drivers and conductors will be all decked out for Christmas and ready to welcome you aboard our iconic 1965 vintage London Transport Routemaster bus, spreading festive cheer and collecting donations for charity at the same time.   Our team are all bus enthusiasts who have generously offered their time free – for the fourth year, alongside Routemaster operator, David McMaster of Awayadays – in order to help raise funds for a very worthy local cause that is close to our hearts.  We’ll be spreading festive cheer and collecting donations for The Big C – Norfolk & Waveney’s Cancer Charity.

In 2019 we raised the magnificent sum of £1,400 towards the building of a new cancer support centre for the heart of Norwich and we’d love to be able to match that again this year with your support, to go towards the £500,000 needed for a brand new state-of-the-art centre offering outstanding care and support closer to where people live and away from the hospital’s medical surroundings. So why not take a break from shopping to enjoy the lights and sights of Norwich, the City of Stories, on this ever-popular tour.

Our brilliant red Routemaster will also be joined by one of a pool of privately preserved former Eastern Counties vehicles so there will be two buses operating the route.

Trips will be available from 20th – 24th December with 4 different stops around the city…

Castle Meadow – every 30 minutes between 10.30 and 15.30

St Stephens Street  – every 30 minutes between 10.33 and 15.33

City Hall – every 30 minutes between 10.40 and 15.40

Norwich Rail Station – every 30 minutes between 10.50 and 15.50

It’s the perfect picture opportunity for the little ones as well as the grown-ups.

We look forward to welcoming you on board.
